ELSA ADÁN HERNÁNDEZ

Elsa Adán Hernández, from Arnedo (La Rioja, Spain), completed her degree in English Studies in 2015 at the University of Zaragoza. She then studied a Master of advanced studies in literature and film also at the University of Zaragoza and completed her Master’s Thesis with special mention in October 2016, an analysis of Affinity (1999), one of the best-sellers of the British author Sarah Waters. In October 2022, she completed her PhD dissertation at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters in Zaragoza. Her main research interests concern British contemporary literature, where she focuses on gender, feminist and queer studies, especially exploring these issues from the perspective of the historical novel, and the consequences it may have within our contemporary cultural parameters. Currently, she is working as a lecturer in the Department of English and German studies at the University of Zaragoza, where she teaches subjects related to Literature and English.
